We have been to Universal Orlando many times and never went into Moe’s Tavern. I didn’t realize it was a huge Simpsons-based food court! I went to Duff’s Brewery first, which is a waterfront bar, and got a Duff beer. I don’t know why that was so satisfying, but it was. It tasted roughly like a Budwesiser, so nothing too special but the fact that it was a Duff made it great. I wanted a Lady Duff and the bartender said the brewery is still working on Lady Duff, but it will be coming out soon along with some other new Duff beers. Quite exciting!

Then we went across the street to Moe’s Tavern and were shocked to see how cool it is! You walk in through Moe’s bar and then you enter the food court. The food court (Fast Food Boulevard) has several quick service restaurants including Krusty Burger, Cletus’ Chicken Shack, The Frying Dutchman, Lard Lad donuts and more.
We settled for curly fries from Krusty Burger and tots from Cletus’ because we just wanted a snack. As I was about to pay I saw a guy walk by with a Flaming Moe! I got so excited I set my tray down too hard and spilled our waters, hence the wadded up napkins on the tray.

The curly fries were delicious, the tots were just ok. As for the Flaming Moe, we didn’t try one but it is apparently dry ice in a special little cup compartment and orange soda (the original Flaming Moe from the show was an alcoholic drink). Next time we will get one!
Moe’s Tavern itself is really well done. They have a Love Tester, and a big plastic Barney with an empty glass, and in general it looks a lot like the one from the tv show.

Now that we know it’s there we will definitely be back to Moe’s and Fast Food Boulevard next time. A Lard Lad donut with a Flaming Moe sounds like a nice mid-day snack.
There is also a Kwik-e-Mart next to Moe’s which we didn’t enter. We will have to do that next time too!
