Map of Typhoon Lagoon
Typhoon Lagoon is one of the two water parks owned by Disney. It is located right across from Disney Springs on Buena Vista Drive.
Many consider Typhoon Lagoon the best of the water parks. There are huge stretches of sand, hundreds (thousands?) of umbrellas and lounge chairs, islands of palm trees for shade, and relaxing beach music…think The Beach Boys and Jimmy Buffet. This is a great place to take a day off from the theme park stress and just relax.

If you ask most people what their favorite thing to do at Typhoon Lagoon is, they will usually say the wave pool, Shark Reef or Crush n Gusher.

The young children’s area at Typhoon Lagoon is Kechakiddee Creek. It features a small lazy river, a cave, slides, and spray features.

Typhoon Lagoon also has what is possibly the best lazy river of any water park, Castaway Creek.

Grab a beer at Let’s Go Slurpin’ and just relax.

There are a few Hidden Mickeys to find…

Parking is free for all visitors. Hours vary but basically high season 9-6, low season 10-5. Typhoon Lagoon traditionally closes for several weeks in winter for it’s yearly upgrades and refurbishments.
